Peyton’s Nutrition Journey

Peyton is the founder of Pey Health Nutrition and partners with Berry Street to provide the best telehealth-based nutrition services to her patients. Her background is rooted in Culinary Nutrition & Food Science, with the belief that food is a holistic approach to many disease states and that all foods fit.

Peyton has had quite the nutrition journey dating back to high school. She fell in love with cooking and was always seeking out nutrient-dense ingredient swaps in recipes; zucchini in chocolate cupcakes, cottage cheese blended in sauces, & more! This passion led her to attend Johnson & Wales University, where she graduated with a degree in Culinary Nutrition.

From there, she began her career as a Weight Loss Counselor in Chicago, IL. Although she loved building lifelong relationships with her clients, she soon realized the program was causing more harm than good to clients. This prompted her to return to school to obtain her Certificate in Nutrition & Dietetics from Dominican University to become a Registered Dietitian!

During this era, she worked under a fabulous Dietitian at an eating disorder clinic. This is where Peyton learned about HAES, “Health At Every Size”, which focuses on individuals treating their bodies with kindness regardless of their size. Peyton endorses this approach to this day!

Once she graduated from her certificate program, she went on to complete her dietetic internship in Tallahassee, FL, which had an emphasis in school nutrition. Peyton was also a Chef for an after-school cooking program focusing on vegetarian-based recipes!

After passing her Board Dietitian Exam, she returned home to work as an Inpatient Clinical Dietitian in Wisconsin. She currently provides medical nutrition support to patients in the hospital setting including cardiac health, endocrine dysfunction, enteral nutrition support, GI disorders, renal health, oncology, parenteral nutrition support, weight restoration, wound healing, and more!

Now, Peyton is returning to her passion of working individually with clients to guide them on their nutrition journey towards food freedom by creating personalized, foodie styled meal plans with realistic goal setting!
