Frequently Asked Questions
Can I Use My Insurance?
Yes! Peyton works with Berry Street to accept Aetna, Amerihealth, Anthem, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Emblem, United Healthcare, Medicare, Medicaid, & more! Please use my booking link to see if we accept your insurance!
What is the Difference Between a Nutritionist/Health Coach vs. a Dietitian?
Dietitians must complete a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree (as of 2024), 1200-Hour Accredited Dietetic Internship, & pass the Commission of Dietetics Registered Dietitian Exam to be credentialed! We must also receive additional licensing in certain states to practice. Nutritionists and health coaches can be very knowledgeable while providing great care; however, they cannot legally provide medical nutrition therapy to patients.
Do You Provide Meal Plans?
Yes! I diligently review your food preferences, allergies, cooking abilities, & time management to create your unique meal plan. My background is rooted in culinary nutrition, so if you are a foodie like me, expect some awesome recipes & tasty meal ideas!
If I pre-paid for Sessions, will I still be charged the 24-hour Cancellation/No-show fee?
No. Since you already paid for sessions, you will not be subject to these fees. These are for patients who are insurance-based or pay for à la carte sessions. There is also the ONE-TIME COURTESY for those who do have to cancel, reschedule, or no-show within less than 24 hr notice. Your credit card is refunded after your NEXT rescheduled appointment!
